Painting Your Thoughts

I’m a pretty crafty person. I like to create. When I see something crafty that I like, I will typically purchase it rather than make it. But when I think of something crafty I’d like to buy, I usually end up just making it myself.

I call these creations my hair brained ideas. I will usually do them by myself, but most of the time I drag everyone else into them. I’m made that way. I am a Strategic Thinker and a Relationship Builder. Always creating and learning, always surrounding myself with the right people.

This quote was destined for me this morning, like 98% of the quotes I pull in the morning.

Right now I’m working on a really fun project for the Silver Valley Dart League. I have been playing darts with them for quite a few years now and I love being around people, having fun, and playing the game. I don’t like to compete, but I like to challenge myself and visit.

Another fun fact about me is that when it comes to competition, I don’t like it. I don’t want to be compared to or compare myself to anyone else. But when it comes to being involved in something like a league, I will challenge myself to do better and I will do everything I can to make sure everyone else is having a good time.

What’s a competition without a prize?

The way my unique self works is to connect with people, think of fun things to do, and then do them. So, I came up with the idea of making trophies for my fellow dart league players. When I read the quote this morning, I realized that I do this exact thing. I will paint or create things as I think them, not as I see them. I had this vision in my head of what these trophies would look like so I started working on them. I didn’t see them somewhere and think, “Oh, I can make those!”

Today I will put the finishing touches on these and hand them out to some amazing people that are so fun to be around. Each one of those people are so unique and I have found some type of connection with them all.

Here’s to another great season in the dart league and another bit of evidence that the way I am infinitely unique is the way I live my life.
