Continuous Effort

“You’re not strong enough.” “You’re not smart enough.” “There’s no way you can do that.”

There is a lot of not being ENOUGH going on in our world. Frankly, I’m sick of hearing it. It hurts my heart to hear friends who doubt what they can do or have stopped doing the things they love to do.

We all have goals and dreams to get something done or do better at something. Putting continuous effort into that intention pays out in the long run.

An overnight, “slam bam thank you ma’am” effort usually ends up with a half finished, rushed result that doesn’t stick or actually sets you back.

Think of all the weight loss programs that come across our social media and TVs. There’s always a magic pill, super drink, or powdered something that will help you drop 20 pounds in a day! Maybe not 20 pounds a day, but a dramatic amount of weight in a short period of time. Let’s be real, dramatic weight loss is a shock to your body systems. Sure, you can see the scale go down but what happens when you stop taking that magical drink? What side effects come with those overnight programs? Headaches, toxic overload, imbalanced gut health, poor nutrition…! What happens when your body is shutting down because it can’t detoxify all the chemicals? What happens when your body isn’t given the nourishment it needs to run at optimal capacity? Shakes, sweats, dizziness, gut pain… And what happens to you, emotionally, when your scale starts creeping up again?

Every intention, goal, or promise you make is more rewarding when you are pulled to success instead of pushed, when you take the time to enjoy the process and reap the benefits every step of the way.

What are you working on right now that you feel is taking a long time to accomplish? Better health? Time freedom? Saving money?

How will you feel when your continuous efforts pay off?

Pretty damn good. That’s how you’ll feel.
